A former varsity hockey goalie, Danielle has transitioned her quick glove hand into a quick mouse hand to allow her to smoothly navigate online caselaw. She has also constructed a blue crease outside of the entrance to her office.

Danielle is a graduate of the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University with a specialization certificate in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law. While at law school, Danielle won the Laskin Moot and received commendation as a top oralist, as well as winning course prizes in both tax law and constitutional law. Prior to joining AMLC, Danielle articled at a leading full service law firm in Vancouver. Now at AMLC, she is developing a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. Danielle has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.

Outside of the office, Danielle can be found searching for the perfect podcast, listening to her favourite musical theatre soundtracks, or counting down the days to pumpkin spice season

Significant Cases

  • Insurance Corporation of British Columbia v Dhaliwal, 2025 BCCA 142: successfully represented a plaintiff respondent in a personal injury appeal concerning the quantum of damages awarded at trial. 

  • O’Neill v British Columbia (Minister of Health), 2025 BCSC 601: represented the BC Humanist Association in obtaining leave to intervene in a BC Supreme Court trial concerning freedom of religion rights and access to Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).

  • Dorsey v Canada (Attorney General), 2025 SCC 38: represented an intervener in an appeal at the Supreme Court of Canada concerning the writ of habeas corpus and the impact of security reclassification decisions on incarcerated people in Canada.
